**Please Note - Once You start this process, you will be required to place a PayPal deposit to secure your date.
Any forms filled out without paying a deposit will not be honored or kept on file.
Dear Renter,
Thank you for inquiring about renting The Rodman House. Because weddings are a small aspect of our overall business plan, we would like to address a few areas that you need to be aware of before rental.
You are renting the house as is. Our home is over 100 years in age, and we have spent a considerable amount of time and money on making major improvements. However, there are certain cosmetic issues we are aware of that will be addressed in time and could quite possibly be unfinished at the time of your rental.
You are renting an outdoor facility in a rural farm environment. Bugs, spider webs, rodents, wild animals,and dust are a normal aspect of this environment.
You are assuming all risks in the event of inclement weather situations. THIS IS AN OUTDOOR VENUE.
No major modifications or improvements to our facility will be done for your wedding.
The exterior of the house and surrounding property will be mowed and cleaned to our satisfaction.
Only the pavilion and carport will be pressure washed as needed to our satisfaction.
If you have properly rented the interior of the house, we will make sure it is cleaned to our satisfaction and specifications. Again, it is a rural environment.
No driving is allowed on the grass immediately surrounding the house and pavilion. If you need to drop things off at the pavilion, please drive around the white fence to the back gate behind the pavilion. Please forewarn your vendors about this if they are dropping off or picking up items.
You will not be allowed to decorate until the Friday of your event at 2pm. Our facility is used for many different things, and we have to make sure it is readily available for those events, even on short notices. There are no exceptions to this.
All decisions regarding your wedding and the use of our facility must be approved by Kay Clapp only. The employees and other owners of this facility do not have any prior knowledge of what we have discussed and will only refer you to us on your questions.
No weapons of any kind will be allowed to be discharged on our property.
No fireworks of any kind will be allowed to be discharged on our property. Please inquire about using sparklers.
No overnight stays are allowed without prior knowledge and proper compensation.
No use of the kitchen in the house is allowed at any time unless proper rental and notification has been made.
If there is food or drink in any of the refrigerators on site, it is not yours for consumption. This is property of Rodman Plantation.
We do not provide set up, decorations, or after cleanup assistance. This is your responsibility.
We are not wedding planners, and currently at this time do not offer assistance on this.
You are renting a working plantation, so please be aware that employees of Magnolia Dunes LLC or Rodman Plantation could be passing through the entrance at anytime with respect to your actual ceremony time.
What was done at weddings held on Rodman Plantation in the past is not the case anymore.
Please ask Kay before you do anything that has not been addressed in this letter and do not base your assumptions on what you might have seen at other weddings or hearsay from people who have had weddings there in the past.
By signing this, I am in agreement that I understand the following items listed above and will consult with Kay Clapp if I have any questions. A breach of any of the following items could result in a loss of my deposit.
